The Bible says "...without me ye can do nothing." John 15:5. Apart from God, you are powerless and alone. You need God. "...Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts." Zechariah 4:6. Here is the key for a sinful, disobedient people to receive God's favor and blessings: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14. God desires to bless you with His Grace. The enemy desires to destroy you. Your faith will be tested in good times and in difficult times. "...Have faith in God." Mark 11:22. "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:" Philippians 1:6. If you want God to increase your faith, you must be prepared for Him to remove the bad things inside of you and replace them with His Mind, Will, and Character, always testing your faith. You must renounce and repent of all things that are sin. "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." James 1:2-4. "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Hebrews 11:6. See John 8:31-32. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33. "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5-6. "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." Matthew 5:6. Everything in God's Kingdom operates by faith. "...According to your faith be it unto you." Matthew 9:29. We are all given a measure of faith, but you can specifically build up your faith in God by reading His Word, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17, and also by praying in The Holy Ghost, "...building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost," Jude 20. Everything from God is received through Jesus Christ by faith. Faith will be tested to prove your obedience. "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:" 1 Peter 1:7. "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." Romans 8:1-2. Do not sin, being independent from God. "...let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:1-2. You must learn to receive by faith all things that Christ has already provided for you. God expects you to conduct yourself in holiness. Allow The Holy Spirit to teach, empower, and bring revelation of God's Word to you, so you are Spirit led. Too often, people are led by the lust of the flesh, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desire to please people. "And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful." Mark 4:19. See Mark 4:14-25. You must believe, cherish, and have faith in God's Word, so the enemy will not steal It. "...The seed is the word of God. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved." Luke 8:11-12. You must believe, receive, understand, and agree with God's Word for It to remain, be effective, and produce the intended fruit. What you do not understand, agree with, or defend, the enemy steals! Make sure that your words and actions confess agreement with what God's Word says. Immediately cover God's Word you receive with prayer and expectancy to help protect and nurture It. "For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." Matthew 12:37.
