Prayer is constant communication between a person and God, which is essential for there to be a relationship to exist between them. You are to pray to Father God in The Name Of Jesus. It is only through Jesus that you have access to The Father. Sure prayer is knowing that your prayer requests to God are firmly established, in confident certainty, and what you have prayed will come to pass, as long as you do not waver in your faith. It is yielding your will to God's Will, through Jesus Christ, without having any fears, doubts, or uncertainty. "...not my will, but thine, be done." Luke 22:42. Faith is demonstrating what you believe. "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." 3 John 2. "...he that cometh to God must believe that he is...that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Hebrews 11:6. God rewards and responds to your faith, as He wants to be believed. "...help thou mine unbelief." Mark 9:24. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Faith is not giving up no matter what the circumstances tell you. Anyone can serve God when things go well. "Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." James 1:3-4. Patience is a virtue, and a fruit of The Spirit, which will get the focus on God, instead of being on your self. Patience shows your faith. "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31.
Sure prayer involves having constant faith, without any wavering. Demonstration of faith pleases God. "And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses." Mark 11:22-26. Your words are powerful, and will either confirm or deny your faith. You will have to give an account for every word that you speak. "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." Matthew 12:36-37.Be careful not to deny Jesus by your words, thoughts, or actions. If you deny Jesus Christ, you deny God. Your prayers must always line up with God's Word. Otherwise you are asking amiss, with selfish desires, which are not pleasing to God. "...yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." James 4:2-3. Do not love the world, or worldly things. Nothing should be permitted to take the place that rightfully belongs to God in your life. Give God the time and attention that He deserves. Spending time in prayer communicating with God, establishes a relationship where you are no longer being led by your will, but are instead being led by God's Will. When you study His Word and learn of His Precious Promises, you can go and boldly pray, knowing that He will surely answer. Sure prayer is expecting God to confirm His Word when you speak It. Be obedient, always doing what God says to do. Receive everything by faith through Jesus Christ. "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering..." James 1:6. "...What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." Mark 11:24. Know that it is impossible for God to lie. "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." Isaiah 55:11. "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." Matthew 21:22. "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do..." John 14:13.
