Once you come to God, through believing on Jesus Christ, to receive the
forgiveness of your sins that Christ has purchased for you with His Precious
Blood, you are expected to grow spiritually
and be translated from being
led by your flesh
to being led
by God's Spirit. You belong to
and no longer belong to your self.
You must remember that you
have been adopted, and made whole,
by God through Christ's Righteousness.
"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God,
they are the sons of God."
Romans 8:14. Be led by His Spirit. The battle that most Believers in Christ face
is that of who is controlling them, their flesh or The Holy Spirit. Yielding
your life over to God is a continual process that must be accomplished by
renewing your mind with the washing of God's Word. Through prayer,
meditating on God's Word,
you will grow
mature, being the follower of Christ, the Christian, that God desires you to be.
Permit The Holy Spirit to guide and help
you in all matters. Seek His
help, counsel, and wisdom, so that you may draw closer to Jesus. Do not stay on
spiritual milk, being weak. Grow spiritually with a diet of spiritual
in God's Word. "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye
have need that one teach you again which be
the first principles of the
oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong
meat. For every
one that useth milk is
unskilful in the word of
righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of
full age, even
those who by reason of use have their senses
exercised to discern both good and evil. Therefore leaving the principles
of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection;
not laying again
the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the
doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the
dead, and of eternal judgment." Hebrews 5:12-6:2. Maturity is expected of every
Christian Believer through training.
"When I was a child, I spake as a
child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man,
I put away childish things.
" 1 Corinthians 13:11. Think of your Christian
life as the training an athlete goes through, who has been selected for The
Olympics. "Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth
the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
And every man that striveth for
the mastery is temperate
in all things. Now they do it
to obtain a
corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
I therefore so run,
not as uncertainly; so fight I,
not as one that beateth the air: But I
keep under my body,
and bring it into subjection:
by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway." 1
Corinthians 9:24-27. A mature Christian will always be disciplined, and have
which is a fruit of The Spirit, being
careful to avoid the works of the flesh.
I say then, Walk
in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

these are contrary the one to the other:
so that ye cannot do
things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the
Galatians 5:16-26. Check everything that you do,
to see if it is birthed of the flesh or birthed of the
Spirit. Taming the flesh can take time, but it is of most importance. Your mind
needs to be brought into subjection
to God's Spirit. The carnal, fleshly
mind is an enemy of God, because it wars and it fights against The Spirit.
is therefore now no condemnation
to them which are in
who walk not
after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For
the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from
law of sin and death. For what the law could not do,
in that it was weak
through the flesh, God sending his
own Son in the likeness of sinful
flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the
law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the

but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For
to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is
life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:
is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that
are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the

Now if any man
have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." Romans 8:1-9. Ask God's Spirit to lead and help you.
