Christianity is all about confession. What you confess you become. "For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." Matthew 12:37. You must be careful with every word that you speak, and all your thoughts and actions. Confession will release what is in your heart to the world. "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh." Luke 6:45. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed." Romans 10:9-11. "Death and life are in the power of the tongue..." Proverbs 18:21. What you confess, you agree to believe and be bound by. Words bring freedom or bondage, light or darkness. Your words will have spiritual and eternal significance, and will either attract good or evil forces around you. "Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips." Psalm 141:3. Your tongue has power to save or destroy you. Read James 3. Be careful what you bind and loose with words. "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer." Psalm 19:14. It is important for your words of confession to continually line up with what God's Word says. "Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:18-20. Ask God to help you be a faithful steward with your confession of words, thoughts, and actions, so you glorify Him. Confession applies to every area of life. Many Christians are not healed today because of a bad confession. A deceived, confused double-minded person confesses things that are opposite of what they say they believe. "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways." James 1:6-8. Bad confession prevents you from receiving promises from God. Do not be led by your flesh, feelings, or circumstances. "...let us hold fast our profession." Hebrews 4:14. You walk in the light of your testimony. God's Word only becomes real as you confess its reality. Your words and actions will confirm or deny your faith in God. Bad confession will abort you from receiving from God. What you confess and believe rules you, whether fears, sickness, and doubts, or faith, hope, life, and victory. "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." 1 John 5:4. Faith shows God that you believe Him, by your words, thoughts, and actions. "Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:" Colossians 1:12-14. If you need healing, speak healing words, and do not doubt. If you need finances, speak faith words that line up with what you seek. The Bible says to, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Matthew 7:7-8. Endure in faith. Never doubt or give up. Receive promises. When you begin to confess God's Word as fact, things will change. You must stand on God's Word, fully believing that God Will Perform It. "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." Mark 11:23-24.
