If you have not already read my writing Baptism, I highly encourage you to do so, before reading more about The Baptism With The Holy Spirit. All 3 baptisms are required to have deep fullness of God's Presence. Acts 2:38 describes the 3 baptisms: Repent (Salvation), Be Water Baptized, and Receive The Holy Spirit. You should be baptized into Jesus, baptized in Water, and baptized in The Holy Spirit (Blood, Water, Spirit). The Bible depicts Jesus Christ, and these 3 baptisms, in various symbolic ways. "And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;" 1 Corinthians 10:2. The Tabernacle of Moses showed the method of how you enter into God's Presence (in The Most Holy Place) by the 3 steps: the blood of an acceptable sacrifice on the altar, cleansing by water (laver), and the oil, which represents The Holy Spirit. "This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one." 1 John 5:6-8. The baptisms are Salvation, Water, and The Holy Spirit. If you have not yet received Salvation and Water Baptism, please do so immediately from a disciple or a church that believes in 3 baptisms. Read my Good News writing for help with Salvation. When you receive Jesus as Lord, spiritual death is taken from you, and you become a new creation in Christ. "Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:" Colossians 1:12-14. After Salvation and Water Baptism, ask Jesus to baptize you with The Holy Spirit, which must be received by faith. "And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:" John 20:22. "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" Luke 11:13. His gift is The Holy Spirit. The Baptism With The Holy Spirit gives you the power to properly live the new life that you have in Christ. Many Christians receive Salvation, and stay in The Outer Court, but never get access to go deeper in God. After you receive Christ's Blood Sacrifice at Salvation, and have repented of your sins, you must be washed properly with water, identifying with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, knowing that your old man has been cut off, and then be anointed, baptized, and filled with The Holy Spirit, before you can deeply enter His Presence. "O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him." Psalm 34:8. Partake of all God has to offer, and do not settle for just a small portion of Him. "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." Matthew 5:6. God requires faith from you, so that His Spirit will flow through you. "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Hebrews 11:6. "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." John 7:38. Since The Holy Spirit is a Gentleman, you must permit, and yield to The Holy Spirit, flowing through you. Remove all preconceived ideas and doubts from your mind about tongues, The Baptism Of The Holy Spirit, and all of The Gifts of The Holy Spirit. The Gifts of The Holy Spirit will operate only to the degree that you yield your body, mind, and spirit, in faith, to the control of the River Of The Holy Spirit that is within you. In faith, yield yourself to flow. Always seek God's Will, not your will, to allow a genuine flow of The Spirit. The purpose of The Baptism In Holy Spirit is to empower you for ministry, so you can be a proper witness. "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Acts 1:8. A person who receives The Baptism In The Holy Spirit will likely soon speak in tongues and flow in the gifts. "And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." Ephesians 4:30.
